Cuban Aviation announced to its customers this week the recent opening of self-checkonline for passengers, which unleashed many ridicule from Internet users questioning which planes they have for such a service.

"To make your stay at the airport more comfortable and reduce your time at the check-in counters, Cubana de Aviación offers you a new web Self Check-in service from your cell phone or other electronic device”, says the note shared by the airline inFacebook, which requires you to type a complicated URL of which they did not even directly share the link.

The text adds that theautocheck-in It can be done through a URL or by scanning a QR code and they specified that the service allows you to confirm acceptance on the flight, complete travel document information, select a seat and download the boarding pass.

“I'm going to add a touch of salt to this publication: the planes? Ha ha ha", joked one Internet user in the comments section, but there were several who addressed the same question.

“And when are the planes? "What is that for? if there are no planes”; And where the hell are they going to get on if there is no plane?”; “I was going to comment on the same thing and I see that they have already posted it, there are no planes, what are we going to check?”; "Terrible planes, terrible service, baggage for what reason and they still want people to check themselves?" other commentators insisted.

"Bravo! Example of technology! Now we only need to have the planes! We already bought the rearview mirror, now we need the rest of the car!"said a Facebook user ironically.

Other complaints or requests aimed to ask about the restart of flights between Havana and the Isle of Youth, the possibility of purchasing ticketsonline or the requirement for a "more comfortable" website.

"Gentlemen, who dares to fly with an airline that has a plane, and a Russian one?", someone said.

Several Internet users agreed that the URL shared by Cubana de Aviación for the alleged self-checkonline it does not open.

In February Cubana de Aviación announced thecancellation of flights between Havana and Nueva Gerona (HAV-GER-HAV) between February 8 and March 9 due to "aircraft technical reasons."

The temporary suspension of air service between Nueva Gerona and the Cuban capital took place just three months after Cubana de Aviación announced the resumption of its domestic flights between both territories.

Domestic flights had been suspended nationwide due to lack of fuel, forcing Cubana de Aviación to cut its frequencies.

The shortage of aircraft that afflicts Cubana de Aviación, as well as the dubious technical condition of its few aircraft, is a long-standing problem on the island, which has generated a loss of confidence among travelers.
