The governments of India and Cuba announced that they will collaborate on digital transformation for the development of 5G and 6G technologies.

Government representatives plan to promote cooperation actions in training and coaching for the deployment of infrastructure in rural areas.

In addition, they foresee the future approval of science and innovation projects that will allow the development of 5G and 6G technologies on the island.

K.Rajaraman, president of the Digital Communications Commission and secretary of the Department of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Communications of India, met this Friday, in New Delhi, with the vice minister of the sector in Cuba, Grisel Reyes.

The topics discussed will be detailed in a collaboration agreement that they plan to sign.

Reyes said to Latin Press that Cuba and India wish to share open source platforms for government services, training projects and training in emerging technologies. Among future joint actions they also plan to create a high-performance computing center.

The Cuban vice minister said that there will be possibilities for joint work between companies from the two countries to enter the Latin American technology market.

In Cuba the bad internet connection it exasperates users. The service is expensive and is controlled by the Cuban Communications Company ETECSA. The service, far from improving, is getting worse and worse.
