It seems like it's serious. The announced fight betweenElon Musk andMark Zuckerberg will be broadcast on X, according to what the owner of the platform formerly known as Twitter said this Sunday.

The South African billionaire claimed that he was "lifting weights all day, preparing for the fight" with the creator and owner of Facebook. He also assured that "all profits will go to charities for veterans."

Zuckerberg, for his part, accepted the pugilistic challenge, but launched a publicity blow at Musk, answering him through the new Twitter competitor created by Meta.

"Shouldn't we use a more trusted platform that can actually raise money for charity?" Zuckerberg asked viaThreads.

And he added: “I am ready today. I suggested August 26 when (Musk) first challenged, but he hasn't confirmed it. "My pulse doesn't tremble."

In June, the two Big Tech billionaires apparently agreed to participate in a cage fight, according toCNN Business. At the moment, the challenger (Musk) has not provided more details about the fight.

Since Musk's takeover of Twitter in October 2022, policy changes, technical issues, and the platform's stance on harassment and hate speech have caused some pushback from many users.

With the launch of Threads (by Zuckerberg), some saw a viable alternative that could unseat its rival, and the app had enormous initial success. Even a lawyer representing Twitter threatened to sue Threads.

In the midst of the commercial battle between both technological giants, space is now opening up for an advertising fight for charitable purposes, of which it is unknown if it will reach the level of reality, or will continue to be a virtual poster, about which memes already abound in social networks.

CNN He reached out to Twitter and Meta for comment but did not receive a response.
