After leading his team in achieving the Leagues Cup title, Lionel Messi has had no qualms to admit that “We were not wrong” by signing with Inter Miami, Well, “we were right when we said that this was the right place.”

In an exclusive interview with Tony Cherchi for Apple TV, the '10' said that “we had spent two difficult years (in Paris), the truth is that we had not been well, it had been difficult for us. The truth was a bit of going back to what we were when we were in Barcelona, enjoying everyday life, the kids, the family being well.”

I wasn't even happy in sports., admitted Messi, who has now found a kind of oasis in the City of the Sun.

“My happiness was always playing football and having fun,” he said. “Today I can continue doing it here, which was one of the reasons for this decision. To enjoy again what I had lost a little. My getaways to the national team were my happiest moments (during his time at PSG) because I enjoyed the place I was in, my colleagues and I wanted to come here to find the same thing. Thank God I found it.”

To the question related to the retirement of the courts, the Rosario genius answered bluntly: “I still don't think about it, I'll be honest with you. I like to play, I enjoy being with a ball on the court, competing, training. I don't know how much more I'm going to play, but I think I'll try to make the most of it until I can.”.

And he added: “I think that for later there is time to think, to analyze and choose. Today the most important thing is to enjoy what is left, whatever it is, it can be a little or a lot. Enjoy as much as I'm doing right now. Enjoy every moment, especially because this will never come back and I don't want to regret anything later."
