The Cuban authorities have evacuated coastal areas of the westernmost region of Cuba due to the imminent arrival of theTropical Storm Idalia, which endangers the inhabitants of localities at risk of sea penetration.
In the Boca de Galafre fishing UEB, in the San Juan y Martínez municipality, the residents who reside in areas near the coast are already in the homes of family and friends and those who were staying in the Military Village were transferred to safe buildings, while the wind gusts intensify, which range between 60 and 70 kilometers per hour in that province.
