They ask for blood donations for a girl with leukemia in Havana

Cuban activist urgently asks for type B+ blood donors for a girl with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. His family is desperately trying to save his life.

The activistDiasniurka Salcedo Verdecia made an urgent appeal for the life of the Cuban girlSofia Mercedes Muñoz Rivero, 5 years old, who needs blood donors to combatAcute Myeloid Leukemia.

Salcedo asked for solidarity with this little girl diagnosed with ahematological cancer which affects the bone marrow and has developed rapidly, interfering with Sofia's normal production of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.

The girl's family is desperate in search oftype B+ blood donors for platelets, a crucial need in their treatment to combat the disease.

The doctors ofInstitute of Hematology They have highlighted the importance of these donations to help the girl take her first steps in this tough battle that has changed her life in just 20 days.

Those interested in donating blood can go toProvincial Blood Bank located on Calle 23 / 2 and 4, Vedado, in Havana where donations are being received. Donors compatible with blood type B+ are accepted.

Anyone who can share their blood with Sofía will be helping to give her hope and a chance at life in this difficult fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The activist, the girl's family and friends thank in advance all those who can help in this cause.

This weekend Diasniurka also asked for help for anotherCuban boy who lives an ordeal, because he suffers from several skin diseases.

The little one is calledYosbiel Alejandro Iglesias Blanco and he is from the San Luis municipality, in Pinar del Río, and needs medicines and hygiene products that his family has not been able to obtain.
