The Cuban singer-songwriterWilly Chirino coincided with his compatriot, the legendary clarinetist and saxophonistPaquito d'Rivera, for whom he feels great affection and admiration.
The meeting occurred on Friday night at the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center, one of the main cultural venues in Miami, where Willy attended with his wife Lissette Álvarez.
"Friday night at the Arsht Center. América Viva with Pac Man. Monster among monsters, Paquito d'Rivera. What a pleasure to meet again," he expressed in his profileFacebook where he shared a photo of the three.
Both artists are considered icons of the Cuban exile in Miami and are among the most excellent representatives of Cuban art.
In addition, they are united by a long friendship.
Last March, regardingWilly's 50-year career, Paquito shared an old photograph in which the two are, along with the comedian Guillermo Álvarez Guedes and the singer Rolando Lasserie, now deceased.
"Dear Willy, Brenda and I congratulate you on your first half century of your career, and I wish you to celebrate it with the success that you have always deserved as a good artist and a better Cuban. (And I am sure that Álvarez Guedes and Lasserie wish you the same since heaven)," Pac Man told the author and performer ofIt's coming.
