Enrique Iglesias has joined the long list of artists who have decided sell your musical catalog and your name and image rights.
The Spanish singer-songwriter sold all his music to Influence Media Partners, a New York company backed by Warner Music, and although the exact amount it won is not known, it is speculated that exceeds 100 million dollars.
“Enrique's unparalleled legacy and focus on the future align perfectly with our mission. This partnership includes the management of recording rights that span the duration of their professional career along with name, image and likeness rights,” reads the official Influence Media Partners profile on Instagram.
According to a publication by The countryIglesias' manager, Fernando Giaccardi, said in an interview with the media Bloomberg that Influence Media Partners had gotten “a bargain”: “We could have made more money if we had gone to more places, but we didn't because that wasn't what it was about. It was a question of the relationship, of how we could help each other and position that music.”
The text of The country He adds that the artist himself was an active part of the negotiations to sell his catalog.
Influence Media Partners also has the rights to other artists such as the American country singer Blake Shelton, the composer Ali Tamposi, author of “Havana” by Camila Cabello and “Break My Heart” by Dua Lipa; singer and songwriter Julia Michaels who is behind the soundtrack of Wish, Disney's latest film; and rappers Logic and Future.
The news of the sale of the “Bailando” singer’s musical catalog comes just a few days after it became known that the last album of Enrique Iglesias' career, Final Vol.2, will be released in February 2024.
