Discussion between driver and tow truck driver over parking ticket generates controversy in Miami

“I think towing companies are the biggest scam in history and this is another way to get your money,” said one user. “You're supposed to drop off the car for a fee. Simple and plain. That's the law," answered another.

The argument between an elderly driver and the driver of a tow truck who hitched his car for exceeding the parking time generated controversy among Miami residents.

The images, recorded on the truck driver's mobile phone, were shared at the scene of the incident.lifestyle_miami. The publication unleashed a heated controversy in which users agreed with both.

The old man, who had exceeded his parking time by almost an hour, tried to talk to the driver of the tow truck who had already hooked up his vehicle. However, he did not listen to his arguments and told him that he was breaking the law, and that he was going to tow him to the warehouse anyway.

The situation became increasingly violent, with the old man threatening to "fight him" while brandishing a cane in his hand. It is unknown how the conflict ended, but user opinions were immediate.

“The city of Miami police department and Miami Beach are known for doing this. They scam people all the time, even if the car is paid to park there,” said one user.

“I hope someone treats his [the trucker's] father the same way he treats this old man, but we all know he never knew his father...,” said another, outraged by the trucker's intransigence.

“I think towing companies are the biggest scam in history and this is just another way to get your money”; "This is an abuse. The old man is right,” others said.

“You're supposed to drop off the car for a fee. Simple and plain. “That's the law,” sanctioned a user in favor of the trailer driver. “This is a country of laws and that's it... this old man continues with the mentality where he came from...,” said another.

“Private parking lots are scams. Predatory shit. They shouldn't be allowed, but Miami is so corrupt that I'm sure this is lining the pocket of a politician in the city,” said one skeptic.

“Read the law, people. Don't let dishonest truckers tow you. (715.07 3). 'A person who is in the process of towing or removing a vehicle or vessel from premises or parking lots where the vehicle or vessel is not legally parked must stop when a person requests the return of the vehicle or vessel,'" another said. with the law supposedly in hand.

“The vehicle or vessel will be returned upon payment of a reasonable service fee that does not exceed half of the fee set for the towing or moving service, as established in point 6.9. When a vehicle or vessel has been towed or removed in accordance with this section, it must be delivered to its owner or person under the control or custody within 1 hour after the request,” it added.

In recent days,A Cuban was involved in a heated argument, with threats included, in a Miami parking lot.

Two videos of the moment were shared on Instagram, in which a man is seen shouting and offending another, apparently a parking lot employee - also Latino - to whom he calls "cheeky", his mother lies to him and challenges him to get involved

The rival, for his part, is not intimidated and calls him "hazardous", a derogatory term that Dominicans often use.

"I'm going to make you faint, brother," the Cuban said almost to his face, but he was separated by another man and a security guard who intervened.
