The remains of a plane that crashed in Cuba in 1976 are part of a house near the Havana airport.
The inhabitants of that house, located behind the Mazorra psychiatric hospital in Boyeros, decided to expand it towards the fuselage section of theDC-8 CU-T1200 from Cubana de Aviación, that collided in the air withel AN-24 CU-T829 –also from the Cuban state airline– on March 18, 1976.
The user identified inFacebook as "AdrLeo - My Aviation Page"He visited the place and posted incredible images of it; but he does not clarify how that part of the ship was attached to the house.
It currently serves as a living room, and communicates with the rest of the house. It has a floor and some armchairs to rest on.
The Internet user who visited the house claims that the fuselage train is in the courtyard and cannot be seen from the street.
Its owners have turned it into a cozy space although from the outside it appears to be being devoured by weeds.
On March 18, 1976, the planeDC-8-43, registrationCU-T1200, collided in the air with aAN-24, license plate CU-T829while he was in atraining flight near Havana.
The DC-8 was able to land without problems despite having lost part of a wing and an engine, but the AN-24 crashed to the ground and its five crew members died.
