At the beginning of the year, a Mexican family, the mother and four minor children, were rescued by elements of theBeta Piedras Negras Group, belonging to the National Migration Institute (INM), after spending several hours in the water of the Río Bravo waiting to cross illegally into the United States, they reported.local mexican media.

The woman and her four children, ages 2, 7, 10 and 14, respectively, presented advanced symptoms of hypothermia because they had been in the water for around seven hours near the Bridge 1 border crossing.

The Río Bravo has become the scene of impressive rescues, losses and even numerous deaths, because it is the separator that many migrants travel through in order to reach American lands.

At the end of November,The US Border Patrol carried out a dramatic rescue of migrants who were drowning in the Rio Grande, where the current became strong during a mass crossing and swept away women and children.
