A Cuban migrant, identified as Igdelnaire Matamoros Bubaire, has been missing in the city of Tapachula, in the state of Chiapas since last January 10, as revealed by a Mexican news portal.
"Help locate Igdelnaire Matamoros Bubaire, originally from Cuba. The last time he was heard from was on January 10 and he was in Tapachula. His relatives are worried. Please contact us here if you have any information about his whereabouts", can be read in a briefpublication shared by the aforementioned media, which did not offer other details about the case.
It is worth clarifying that the photo released to identify the missing man is not the most appropriate because the Cuban is not seen from the front.
Until the closing of this note, no other details regarding the circumstances of the migrant's disappearance have emerged.
Tapachula is a mandatory stop on the journey of Cubans seeking to reach the southern border of the United States by crossing borders from Nicaragua.
In recent months, several thousand citizens of the island have been stranded in that territory after the migratory crisis increased.
It is not the first time that the disappearance of a Cuban has been reported in Tapachula, in September of last year the Cuban migrant Fernando Miguel de la Guardia López was temporarily reported missing, but was later located safe and sound, as revealed by his relatives in statements toCubanet.
