According to several publications on the account of activist Yamilka Lafita, known on social networks as Lara Crofs, Betancourt Pérez's son contacted her to tell her that his father was summoned by State Security to the Dragones police station and from that time does not appear.
The young activist, who showed up at said police station, said in another publication that the officer confirmed to her that "Alberto Turís Betancourt Pérez was there in the morning as a 'visitor,'" but that he left and assured her that They didn't take it anywhere else.
Crofs blames State Security for the disappearance of Betancourt Pérez for more than 24 hours, since in the summons sent the objective was an “interview of police interest.”
They also added that "if you do not appear, you incur the crime of disobedience."
Recently,Betancourt Pérez went out to protest with a poster to denounce the illegal activities in Old Havana and contamination of drinking water.
The young man claims that the water is contaminated with feces and the company Aguas de La Habana does not come forward to solve the problem. Hygiene and Epidemiology officials have only gone to justify the situation but they do not solve anything, he stressed.
