"The cast is from Cuba but thanks to Peru it is where it is": Nesty gives her opinion on controversy in networks

The Cuban singer also thanked Peru for "welcoming our music, for living it as if it were yours and for everything they have contributed to the careers of all of us Cuban artists throughout all the years."

The Cuban singer Nesty joined in to give his opinion on one of the topics that has generated controversy on the networks: the origin of the cast genre and who dances it better, Cubans or Peruvians?

After seeing that the issue of whether the cast is from Cuba or Peru is trending on the platforms, Nesty felt that she had to publicly give her opinion.

"I'm not a delivery guy but I do delivery because delivery has become our fashionable music, so to speak, and it's a genre that I love, I enjoy it, it's very catchy," he noted at the beginning of his words shared a few hours ago via Instagram.

"And since it is ours, as a Cuban artist I feel that you have the right to defend it and also add to its growth," he added before reiterating that he was not a delivery boy and entering directly into the heart of the debate: the origin of the genre.

"The cast, I don't know who invented that the cast is Peruvian, but I think we all know very well that the cast is a genre from Cuba, that it was born in Cuba and that it comes from Cuban artists," he added before sending a message of recognition to the reception that they give him in the Andean country.

"Now, I tell all my delivery colleagues, to all of us who deliver, to all of us who in one way or another defend it, to the delivery drivers of the forest, that if it were not for Peru the delivery would not be where it is today Nowadays, I can assure you that there is no country that supports this genre more than Peru, there is no country that gives more numbers to the cast than Peru, nowadays They are the ones that make viral songs; They make the songs viral," he continued in the video uploaded to his wall, where he has unleashed reactions from colleagues and followers.

"So I think that the distributors have a lot to thank Peru for, for experiencing our music as if it were theirs, and this comes from salsa, from timba. So nothing, as a Cuban I thank Peru, for welcoming our music, for living it as if it were yours and for everything you have contributed to the careers of all of us Cuban artists throughout all the years," he said before reiterating that the cast is a Cuban genre but "thank you to Peru the distribution is where it is today.

"The distribution is Cuban but thanks to Peru the distribution is where it is today," he stated in his words that provoked, almost in equal parts, support among those who think like him, and reproaches from those who consider his point of view to be wrong.

Among the messages is one from El Uniko who told him "with all due respect" that his opinion did not count. "The cast is ours, no, you rode the wave. I can't imagine you singing this music in the bonches 14 years ago," he added.
