The release date of the series, which is set in the 19th century and whose story revolves around Chinese workers enslaved in Cuba.
Hong Kong actress Louise Wong is the protagonist of Coolie and plays a young woman from southern China who travels to the island to marry a political exile who works on a sugar cane plantation.
In addition to Arteche, the Cuban actor Sian Chiong He also participates in this series directed by the renowned Taiwanese-American director and screenwriter Arvin Chen.
