A lucky guy won the jackpot Powerball valued at 1,326 million dollars, by matching the six numbers drawn.
The ticket was sold in Oregon and the owner's identity has not been revealed.
The winner has the option of receiving a one-time payment of $621 million or choosing an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
"On behalf of Powerball, I would like to congratulate the winner of this $1.326 million jackpot. Winning the Powerball is not just about winning the jackpot, but about the power of making dreams come true and creating positive change in the world." said Drew Svitko, president of the Powerball product group and CEO of the Pennsylvania Lottery.
"Lottery games like Powerball generate winnings that are used to do great work in local communities across the country. Thank you to our players and retailers for helping us make a lasting impact out of this jackpot race," he added. .
The winning numbers were the white balls 22, 27, 44, 52, 69 and the red Powerball 9. The Power Play® multiplier was 3X.
As explained in the web of Powerball, the drawing was not held on Saturday itself because a lottery agency needed more time to send the information on the tickets sold, so it was done this Sunday at 2:29 am ET.
This jackpot is the fourth largest in Powerball and the eighth largest of all American lottery games.
In addition, seven tickets matched the five white balls and they won a million dollars. One of them was sold in Florida and the rest in Arizona, Delaware, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan and Wyoming.
Another 81 tickets won $50,000 and 26 tickets took home prizes of $150,000.
Powerball tickets cost two dollars and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday on Powerball.com.
