Cuban dancers prepare to break a Guinness Record in Havana with the Largest Casino Wheel in the World.
In a recent rehearsal held in La Piragua, the "Retomando el Son" project, with the support of the Provincial Center of Cultural Houses, brought together numerous dancers to create the largest Casino Wheel, an event that aims to surpass current records.
Tatiana Viera Hernandez, coordinator of Objectives and Programs of the Government of the capital, announced that the official competition will take place on May 5.
This event not only seeks to break a record, it will also serve to commemorate the 505th anniversary of the Cuban capital, under the "Havana lives in me" campaign.
Viera Hernández highlighted that during the coming months, citizen participation in initiatives to improve the city will be encouraged, but did not offer details about what the sociocultural integration strategy they are promoting will be like.
