At least five people were injured this Wednesday after the collision between an almendrón and a Moskvitch in the heart of Havana's Vedado, after one of the vehicles involved did not respect a stop sign.
"Right now on 21st and M, respect the Stop Signs, gentlemen, road safety," posted a member of the group of Facebook "BUS & TRUCK ACCIDENTS, for more experience and fewer victims."
According to reports, the almendrón violated the signal and hit the Moskvitch.
Images show both cars with severe damage.
The severity of the injuries is unknown.
Accidents in Cuba cause thousands of injuries every year and hundreds of deaths.
More of 700 people lost their lives as a result of traffic accidents in Cuba during 2023, while 5,938 were injured.
