Several generations of doctors have passed through the hands of this professional, who stood out as a medical educator for several decades after graduating in Havana and moving to Santiago de Cuba.

At over 90 years old, Dr. Jústiz dedicated her life to medicine, becoming one of the first to provide pediatric care after January 1959.

"He is truly a legend in Medicine, particularly in the science and art of caring for the smallest patients," said one of his students, Dr. José Yaser Centray Soler.

Another Cuban personality, this time from the cultural sphere, recently said goodbye to this world.

The Cuban baritone Ramón Calzadilla passed away at the age of 90 in Cuernavaca, a city in central Mexico, where he resided, confirmed the digital platform Cubaescena.

The Morelense Center for the Arts expressed its sorrow over the news in a statement highlighting Calzadilla as a "distinguished educator and musician who elevated the training of generations of singers" at the institution with his experience and work.

Recently, the death of Cuban singer-songwriter Ángel Quintero, a prominent representative of the trova movement on the island, was mourned. The news was confirmed by a statement from the official agency Prensa Latina, although no details were provided regarding the cause of his death.

Quintero passed away on April 19 at the age of 67, leaving behind an important legacy in Cuban music.
