Without failing to acknowledge that she is only speaking from her own experience, a young Cuban woman who recently moved to Texas showed a grocery store purchase on TikTok.
After stating in a first video that with 100 dollars he made a purchase and clarifying later that it was not referring to the monthly purchase, he shared another video taken from the supermarket to show prices of products and the total amount spent.
"They are much more affordable, much more affordable than in Miami. I am not attacking anyone, I respect everyone's opinion but I am sharing my experience moving to Texas, specifically Baytown," said the young woman who goes by the name Ani Hernández (@anitta_liamjoi) on the mentioned social network.
"The prices are much more economical," he added in the video where he showed some products that cost cents.
Finally, the whole purchase for the month amounted to $262.67. "I don't see it as expensive, to be honest, I think it's too cheap," he can be heard saying in the video he shared online with the caption: "This purchase in Miami would have easily cost me $500."
The high cost of living in Miami is a recurring topic of debate on social media.
A few days ago, Heydy González and Eddy Borges were the ones who, with their usual humorous tone, talked about whether living in Miami is expensive or not.
"Imagine Messi living on the corner of Gao and Shakira just around the corner, they're charging me rent as if I made money like those people," said the singer, joking about the prices of living in the City of the Sun, something that, however, does not tip the scale in favor of moving for them because, as the actress acknowledges, "it's ideal for what they do."
