Today marks exactly one month since my mother arrived, thanks to God, my daughters, and parole. We had been waiting for a year and three months. I know I may have overreacted, but it was something unique and difficult to explain. My youngest girl turned 18 that same week, and all she asked for was for her grandmother's parole to be approved.
