Cuban reveals details of tough migratory journey to the U.S.

Migrating to the United States is a path full of dangers and difficulties, as shown by a Cuban on social media through a series of videos documenting the harsh journey.

The young man, known on Facebook as The Cuban Aldeanito, began his migratory journey in May from Uruguay, where he lived for five years, with the hope of reaching the United States. Each step of his journey is the subject of a new post.

"Uruguay, I'm going to miss you. You were with me for five years," he expressed in that social network in a first video.

Since then, he has not stopped sharing posts on Facebook documenting his tough journey from El Salvador to Mexico. In his videos, you can see the dangers of crossing rivers, overcrowding in resting places, and the risks he faces on the roads.

"The Cuban experience in achieving their dreams is very tough," he pointed out on that social network, reflecting the demands of emigrating irregularly.

Last Friday, in a reel, the young man shared a message that reflects other very tough aspects of emigration: "Here with mosquitoes, without a fan, with dirt on our feet, without bathing, we will achieve our dream, my back can't take it anymore from sleeping on the floor on a board or squeezed in a little truck."

The last post was made this Sunday: "I am all alone on this journey to move forward in the U.S., and I am a little scared, this is my first experience, I don't know what to do. May God help me and all those who love me pray for me, and for every Cuban who emigrates to have a better life, amen."

During his journey, in addition to expressing his hopes for a better future, the anxieties that plague him also become evident, reflecting another one of the major issues that Cubans face when emigrating.

If migrating to the United States through several countries is dangerous, using the maritime route is no less risky.

The sadness, fear, and above all, the anguish felt by Cubans when they decide to flee on a raft are only surpassed by the desire for a better life, far from the country where they were born, where poverty, human rights violations, and lack of freedom prevail.

A TikTok user with the username marisleydy_en_hialeah posted a video on Monday in which, in just a few seconds, you can feel the apprehension of a group of people, including Cubans, in their attempt to reach the shores of the United States on a raft.
