A 104-year-old woman was the victim last Monday of a unique break-in: a 1.5-meter alligator invaded her property in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, causing terror to the woman.
Agents Kopp and Johnson responded to the call from the lady, whose residence is located near Atlantic Boulevard and Art Museum Drive, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Instagram.
"We can't handcuff it," they said. To remove the alligator from the house of the centenarian woman, they turned to the services of trapper Mike Dragich, who said to the alligator, "See you later."
Once the reptile was immobilized and its jaws were tied, the police officers recorded a funny video that was shared by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on their social media.
In the video, an agent can be heard telling the alligator, "You are under arrest. You have to leave the grannies alone. We are going to take you to the center. Let's go."
The social media accounts of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were the scene of controversy when some users commented that these animals are eliminated after being captured. In response to the controversy, the authorities clarified: "This alligator was released."
Recently, a Florida resident lived a nightmare upon discovering a three-meter-long alligator swimming in his pool.
The incident occurred in the city of New Smyrna Beach, and according to the homeowner, the unusual thing was the surprising way it entered: "It did not tear anything or cause any damage, it just pushed through the piece of protective mesh," reported News 6.
