Yenisley Torres Pérez, a Cuban woman who had been reported missing since May 9th in Havana, has already returned to her family, as confirmed this Monday by the feminist platform YoSíTeCreo en Cuba.

Yenisley was thankfully located by her family several days ago as confirmed by OGAT [Alas Tensas Gender Observatory]," the source stated.

As is usual in these cases, the feminist platform did not provide any other information about the circumstances of the Cuban woman's return with her family, nor the reasons why she was absent from her home.

It was previously reported that Yenisley is a mother of two girls and resides in the Abel Santamaría neighborhood in the Boyeros municipality in Havana.

YoSíTeCreo in Cuba reiterated this Monday that there are currently three active alerts: three-year-old girl Lali Paola Moliner, missing since February 27 in Cojímar, Havana; as well as Karildi Caridad Marín and Maileivys Martín. Karildi Caridad Marín, 24 years old and resident of Párraga, Arroyo Naranjo, disappeared on December 14 of last year on her way to a party in Cerro municipality, Havana.

In the case of Maileivys Martín, 36 years old and resident of Nuevitas, Camagüey, has been missing since May 6, 2024, when she left for the main municipality of that province allegedly to take an eyebrow course.

Reports of disappearances of Cubans are increasingly common in recent months, as well as the publication of requests for help on social media to obtain information, all amidst a context of growing violence in the country.

In its report this Monday, YoSíTeCreo en Cuba did not mention or provide any updates on the case of Melisa Odaisi Peraza Cabrera, a 24-year-old woman who had been missing since May 14 but who contacted her family to tell them that she is part of a group of 19 rafters lost at sea.

The feminist platform YoSíTe Creo in Cuba requested urgent help from the authorities on Sunday after the young woman informed her family of her situation. According to the aforementioned source, a group of seven women and 12 men were adrift somewhere off the coast of Artemisa and/or Mayabeque, it is unknown if it was the north or south coast.
