The animal protectors from the province of Sancti Spiritus celebrated this Friday the quick recovery of Yeiko, a dog that was attacked with a machete by a man last May, and shared a touching video of the dog barking on the street.
The ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation, which issued the alert and took care of the initial first aid and care for the dog, posted a reel on Facebook where Yeiko is seen in good condition and very active, which is a clear sign of his proper recovery.
In the video, it can be seen that the dog peeks out of the doorway and barks at something that catches its attention on the street. In the background, a female voice can be heard saying, "Where are you going? He's just making noise."
This Saturday, the animal protection organization shared an image on Facebook showing Yeiko with the uncovered wound, but healed. The dog appears very active and in good shape.
The publication was widely celebrated by followers, who were first outraged by the violence suffered by Yeiko and then followed every step of his recovery.
Recently, the mentioned organization shared some images of the recovery of this dog.
"It is incredible how much Yeiko has improved, the wound is practically healed, and he behaves very well every time he is treated," they pointed out on Facebook, continuing the story of this dog who was a victim of a violent and cruel act.
"Go Yeiko, you can do it, you are reaching the finish line," ARCA pointed out, while sharing images of the dog with its owner, who found him after the animal was rescued and underwent surgery.
On May 20th, the ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation became aware of the brutal aggression to this dog, an incident that immediately demanded their efforts to save the life of this canine.
"When everyone was asleep, our foundation suffered alongside the medical team that was tirelessly fighting to save Yeiko's life," they pointed out on Facebook, while also denouncing the horrendous crime.
