An animal shelter in the province of Villa Clara asked for help last Sunday on social media for a dog that suffered a spinal fracture, expressing great affection for the injured dog.

"You deserve all the beauty in this world, my Milagros," stated Daime Pérez Ramírez in the Facebook group Animal Protection Society in Cuba, while asking for help with diapers, Desitin cream, wet towels, and any contribution for the recovery of the puppy.

According to Pérez, Milagros is already undergoing treatment, and is currently awaiting results for a new veterinary evaluation. "She also has a cart, but at the moment it cannot be used," he pointed out.

The animal protector pointed out that she has been the subject of numerous criticisms due to the love she shows for the little dog, which has affected the delivery of aid. "The only one harmed is Milagros," she emphasized.

Furthermore, this same situation forced her to explain on social media that, although she has a job, she is currently on medical leave, which has prevented her from working.

This situation, she explained, has led her to ask for help in order to provide all the diapers and other necessary supplies for the recovery of the dog Milagros from her spinal fracture.

"I will take care of the cost of their food and health," he stated.

In the post, Perez explained that a person in Havana, named Yaneisy, was in charge of collecting donations and sending them to Villa Clara.

This person provided their address at Prado 106, between Genio and Refugio streets, in Old Havana, and their phone number 52597083.

Animal protectors in Cuba carry out a humane task by filling the countless gaps that the government is unable to address, amidst a profound economic crisis.

Recently, the ARCA Sancti Spíritus Foundation saved the life of a dog that was attacked with a machete by a man.

Since then, they took care of the dog and made sure he returned to his owner, who now showers Yeiko with love.

These protectors celebrated last Friday the quick recovery of the dog and shared an emotional video of the dog barking in the street.
