A month ago, the relative stability in the informal foreign exchange market in Cuba was blown up, and the price of foreign currencies is experiencing significant changes that, at times, occur within a matter of hours.

Such is the case of the US dollar (USD), which this Tuesday dawned with an exchange rate of 385 Cuban pesos (CUP) and less than six hours later suffered a new drop of five units, to settle at 380 CUP.

The freely convertible currency (MLC) and the euro remain at the same values after the slowdown experienced by the exchange rate of currencies on Monday, in which none of the three reference currencies decreased or increased.

After five days of a dizzying increase in which euros, dollars, and MLC practically recovered their values from before the drop in May, the informal market is showing signs of a decrease in the price of currencies.
