El Boni tells the truth about the rumors between Yulién Oviedo and David Calzado.

The singer said in an interview with "Destino Tolk" that he had gone on the show to tell the truth and therefore did not avoid the question about his colleagues.

During his time with La Charanga Habanera, Ebblis Mai Valdivia shared the stage with several Cuban artists including Leoni Torres, Aned Mota, and Yulién Oviedo.

In an interview with El Boni, as the singer is popularly known, for "Destino Tolk," the supposed relationship that existed between Yulién and the Cuban orchestra director David Calzado came to light.

One of the hosts of the show asked point-blank: "Is it true that David Calzado tore Yulién's frenulum?"

Amid laughter and creating a moment of great intrigue and anticipation, as if about to reveal a great hidden truth, El Boni said that he had gone to that show to be sincere.

"It is the truth and no one can get angry about that. That is a lie," the artist stated, disappointing many who were hoping to continue with that teasing against Yulién.

Boni recounted that idea came from a joke by Chocolate MC, a joke that he found awesome and became so viral that from that moment on, the supposed relationship between Yulién and David Calzado was taken by the public as an absolute truth.

As far as I know, during the time I was in the Charanga when Yulién was there, I never saw anything strange, never saw anything weird with Yulién or David, that kind of thing is just gossip and people like it and play along," he added in the interview.

The dialogue for "Destino Tolk" was an opportunity for El Boni to remember his time as a charanguero, and he even sang a cappella on the show two of the most iconic songs he used to perform with the group.
