The independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada posted on Facebook the complaint, accompanied by an urgent call to local authorities: "Almost 24 hours after he passed away and they haven't come to pick him up," he said.

The deceased man was named Miguel Ramirez Delgado. His residence is located at 60 Diego Velázquez Street, between José Antonio Saco (Enramadas) and Aguilera Street, in downtown Santiago de Cuba, near Santa Teresita Church. The cause of his death is currently unknown.

Despite the multiple calls made by neighbors to various government institutions and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province, Ramirez Delgado's body remained in the same chair where he passed away. The situation has become critical, as the corpse "is starting to smell bad."

The residents of the area expressed their desperation and have requested the authorities to act promptly to prevent health problems and dignify the treatment of the deceased.

The case of Miguel Ramírez Delgado highlights the difficulties and delays that Cubans may face in emergency situations in Santiago and throughout the country.

The government does not recognize its inefficiency, blaming all these inconveniences on the economic and fuel crisis, but refuses to accept that Cuba is also experiencing a crisis of values and above all a humanitarian crisis.
