A man dies after being run over by a crane in Havana.

The driver of a crane ran over and killed a young man who was crossing the street at the intersection of 100 and 51 in Marianao, Havana, this Monday, according to preliminary reports.

In the tragic traffic accident, the victim was crushed by the wheels of the heavy vehicle, as shown in the photos posted by the communicator Yosmany Mayeta Labrada on Facebook. Although pixelated, the images are impactful due to their harshness.

"Pare ran over by a harrow at 100 and 51 in Marianao, Havana, and crushes a young person crossing the street," Mayeta said in one of the first posts about the accident.

However, the neighbors in the area stated that at that intersection there are traffic lights, not a "Stop" sign.

The musician Saúl Manuel posted a video on his Facebook profile of the scene of the accident, where the victim is seen under the wheels of the crane truck.

Up to now, the identity of the person who lost their life allegedly due to the driver's recklessness is unknown, according to preliminary reports on the incident.
