Another unprecedented event related to a funeral car occurred in Cuba, where in recent weeks, several corpses have fallen onto the streets.

On Tuesday, one of these vehicles fell -luckily no fatalities were reported- into the Damují River in Rodas, Cienfuegos.

Several witnesses shared videos of the "rescue" of the vehicle, which was brought to the surface with a crane on Wednesday morning.

According to internet user Justo Alonso's Facebook post, the driver had a wound on his head but is alive.

So far, there are several versions of what could have happened.

It is said that he had just finished a case in Rodas, some say the car belonged to the offices of Cienfuegos, and others say to Santa Clara," Sahily P Cid expressed on Facebook.

"They say the driver was somewhat 'happy.' With such good luck to be rescued by a good Samaritan who happened to be passing by at that moment," he added.

Another woman from Cienfuegos named Loly Vera pointed out that the driver fell asleep.

"Thanks to God, they were able to rescue him," he underlined on his Facebook wall.
