A 28-year-old Cuban resident in Miami was arrested and accused of throwing rocks at random vehicles.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Southwest 52nd Court and West Flagler Street, where several cars suffered different damages and at least one person was injured.

According to the arrest report, which Local 10 had access to, a police officer arrived at the scene around 6:15 pm, just after an assault against a driver occurred.

The victim and a witness identified Gadiel Luis Sabatela as the person who was picking up stones from the ground and throwing them at the cars.

The driver, who preferred not to reveal his identity, said he was driving north on 52nd Court when Sabatela threw a stone through his open window.

The rock hit him on the left side of his face, causing a small cut, and also injured his left hand. The impact caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash into a wall.

Sabatela was arrested and charged with one count of shooting or throwing a deadly missile.

Until Tuesday afternoon, he remained detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGK) in Miami-Dade County, where a bond had not yet been set for him.

Miami Police continue the investigation and ask anyone with information about the incident to inform them.

According to América TeVe, the area of Southwest 52nd Court and West Flagler Street was briefly closed so authorities could collect evidence.
