Cubans and hurricanes in Miami, according to comedian George Harris: "They have a magic."

The Venezuelan comedian mimicked the reaction of Cubans in Miami when a hurricane is approaching during one of his shows.

After so much experience with hurricanes on the island, Cubans in the United States do not feel intimidated by these natural phenomena; rather, the opposite is true. They calmly await the impact and make all the necessary preparations to ensure they have everything they need during those days.

The Venezuelan comedian George Harris imitated in one of his shows the reaction of Cubans in Miami when a hurricane approaches.

"The United States and Canada could face the worst hurricane season in their history. Well, folks, if you have a Cuban friend, head over to their house because that's the only place where the hurricane won't hit. Cubans have a magic that keeps all the hurricanes away," the comedian asserted, prompting laughter from the audience.

"I have Cuban friends, and when Irma came, none of them left Miami," he said, mimicking the way Cubans speak. He recalled how they would say they were heading to Orlando because they needed to evacuate, and his friends would respond: "They always say the same thing, forget about it, buy Chinese rice, get some Chinese food, buy pizza, grab a beer and just play games at home. If the internet goes out, it doesn't matter, do something else. Why would you leave? You're just going to waste gas."

George Harris capped the bottle when he added in his role as a Cuban: “Imagine we have to leave Cuba because a hurricane is coming; no one comes back.”

The humorist's reference to hurricanes comes just as the hurricane season has begun and the first tropical phenomenon, Beryl, approaches, posing a potential threat to Cuba.
