The dollar (USD) starts this Monday with a decrease in its average selling price in the informal Cuban market.
At seven in the morning on July 1st, the US dollar is priced at 358 CUP, which is two pesos less than the previous day.
The euro and the Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), for their part, remain at their values from the previous day, at 370 pesos for the European currency and 305 for the MLC.
In recent days, the behavior of the informal price of the three main reference currencies in Cuba has shown relative stability, at least compared to the abrupt movements of the second half of May and the first half of June, when successive increases and drops of up to 20 pesos were recorded in the same day.
Since June 19, when the US dollar reached 360 Cuban pesos (CUP), the value of the US currency has remained stable with slight and sporadic ups and downs. The same has happened with the euro and the MLC.
