A resident of the province of Sancti Spíritus recently reported the poor quality of a yogurt purchased at a fair, which was intended for a child. This prompted the Cuban to criticize the regime, asking, "Do you think that's suitable for a child?"

Michel Alayon explained on Facebook that, during a fair in Sancti Spíritus, he bought a yogurt that he described as tasting like "crap with bread flour."

According to the Cuban, after trying the yogurt, he understood why the mentioned dairy product was so "cheap," which led him to question the regime on social media: "No one sees this," insinuating that the government sells the people products of questionable quality.

With great indignation, the man asked on social media if anyone else had encountered the same situation.

In the comment section, some users recalled the recent complaints about bread being sold with sand, while others mentioned the poor quality of soy ground meat and other products that reach households through the ration book system.

In January, soy yogurt production in Sancti Spíritus came to a halt due to a lack of raw materials.

A note from the weekly magazine Escambray revealed that the Río Zaza Dairy Company has halted that production line due to a lack of soybeans needed to produce yogurt intended for children aged seven to thirteen and for school snacks.

However, in April, it was announced that the Dairy Industry of Sancti Spíritus resumed the production of soy yogurt after receiving a shipment of Asian beans.

It was reported that the quantities of soybeans will be sufficient for a sustained production of 5,000 liters of yogurt per day for 70 days. It was also indicated that the government expected to receive additional shipments of the raw material.
