The stellar Cuban boxer Robeisy Ramírez thanked his followers for the support received for his last fight and recalled this Wednesday that he fulfilled the promise of returning in style at the event organized in the city of Miami, Florida.

"Thank you, Miami! I promised you that my return would be legendary. This is just a sign of what is to come. I thank all my fans for their support," wrote "El Tren" on the social network Facebook.

Even though it is still unknown when his next fight will be or the name of the opponent, the two-time Olympic champion (London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016) made it clear that he is determined to regain the featherweight title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) or obtain a belt from other professional organizations.

On June 29th, Ramírez delivered a spectacular knockout to Mexican Brandon León Benítez at the James L. Knight Center in Miami Beach, marking his return to the path of victory after falling in December to Mexican Rafael Espinoza.

In the bout, the Antillean boxer took the offensive in the first six rounds and at 2:46 minutes of the seventh, he delivered a powerful hook that left his opponent sitting on the canvas for several minutes.

"My coach Ismael Salas told me not to go for the power punch, that this fight was about technique, that I should go back to my roots. That's how the punch came, something that I have done many times in my career," he said in the center of the ring, quoted by ESPN.

After the convincing performance, the athlete from Cienfuegos holds a record of 14 wins and two losses, with nine of those victories achieved by knockout.

At 30 years old, the fighter had announced last May that he would return to the ring in Miami to try to reclaim his WBO title.

On June 29th, my mission to regain my world title and return to the top, where I know I belong, begins. Cuba vs. Mexico again, and I am excited to have the loyal support of the Cuban community in Miami. So bring your flag," he wrote on social media.

"It will be an electrifying event. The journey is far from over. My return will be legendary. 'The Train returns!' he added at that moment."
