Cubans are unique! A young woman from the island shared a video showing the ingenious solutions that you can find in Cuba's daily life under the title "Things that are only seen in Cuba".
In the video, the user @maydalinavalentina showed her mother cleaning the floor with the ice that the refrigerator releases and also how her neighbor heats water under the sun in a bucket.
Things that are only seen in Cuba. A woman cleaning with the ice coming out of the refrigerator. My neighbor is heating water. He puts the bucket in the sun all day with a cloth on top so nothing falls into it and there he heats the water. Those are things that are only seen in Cuba, or at my house and with my neighbors," says this young woman in the video.
Many Cubans have reacted to the video by sharing their own similar experiences.
"My grandmother used to do it, she said it was to freshen up the house," "I would collect the water dripping from the AC to clean, hahaha, my floor was left shining," "My mom used old clothes to mop when there were no quilts in the store," ""I heated the water like that too" or "I live in Miami and clean with ice. I'm Cuban, of course, my grandmother used to do it and I continue the tradition," some users said.
