A young man attacked his mother and wife with a machete in Santiago de Cuba, and they had to be urgently transported to the Military Hospital.

Journalist Yosmany Mayeta reported on Facebook that the alleged attacker, identified as Leonel García Aguilera, also injured his brother and two friends who were at the house at that time.
The incident occurred in the Planta neighborhood of the Altamira council. Apparently, the young man was experiencing a nervous breakdown due to mental health issues, as reported by Mayeta.
The journalist reported that a person living near the scene informed him that the mother was taken to the hospital on the night of this Sunday, where she underwent surgery.
For her part, García's wife was taken to the Provincial Hospital, without further details provided.
"This is the version shared by the neighbors of the aggressor," Mayeta pointed out.
Recently, the head of a youth computer club in Santiago de Cuba was brutally stabbed by a number of people whose identities remain unspecified.
The victim, Héctor Labadí Hierrezuelo, expressed his gratitude to the friends who showed concern for his health and stated that he has received countless shows of affection from his friends abroad, “ever since those damned killers tried to take my life.”
In June, a violent altercation took place at night during a street party in Santiago de Cuba, where several people were reported injured.
