Relatives of Lianet Sosa Santos, a 31-year-old Cuban woman who was murdered by her partner in Tampa last Saturday, have requested financial assistance to cover the expenses for the victim's funeral. Lianet was originally from the town of Sietecito in Sagua La Grande, Villa Clara, and she was the mother of a five-year-old girl.

Yusleidy Sosa, who identified herself as the victim's sister, launched a petition on the fundraising platform GoFundMe with a goal of $15,000. As of the time of writing this note, they have raised $9,025.

"I ask for your support in any way you can for my sister's funeral. Thank you in advance to everyone who can help," Sosa wrote.

On July 13, the Hillsborough County police arrested 35-year-old Silvio Ramón Franco Peralta, also a native of Sagua, for the murder of his partner and another man, both in Tampa, within just one hour of each other.

According to reports from local media, after 2:00 p.m., agents arrived at the 4800 block of Alvarado Drive in Tampa, in the Town 'N' Country community, after being alerted about a deceased woman in a residence. There, they found Sosa with injuries to the upper part of her body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

After committing the crime, Franco fled the scene in the victim's truck. He drove to the outskirts of Tampa, where he got into a fight with another man at a residence, whom he also killed. The identity of the male victim has not been revealed.

The agents attempted to stop Franco Peralta until they managed to collide with his vehicle to force him to halt. The Cuban tried to flee on foot but was arrested by the officers.

The detained individual told the police that he had gone to the man's house and confessed to the murder of Sosa. He also asked for help in getting rid of the weapon used and other belongings.

According to authorities, a confrontation broke out between the two, and Franco stabbed his victim to death. The Cuban claimed that his victim had pulled a firearm, but the evidence does not support his statement, officers said.

Silvio Ramón Franco Peralta currently faces seven charges related to both crimes and related offenses: two counts of first-degree murder, armed robbery in a home with assault or injury, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing to evade law enforcement, driving with a canceled, suspended, or revoked license, and resisting an officer without violence.
