The local government of the province of Sancti Spiritus, responsible for the celebration of July 26th in Cuba, is promoting several projects, including a new decoration at the entrance of the city, a structure that has sparked outrage on social media.

The official Radio Sancti Spíritus flaunted the new ornament on Facebook, which led some internet users to question and criticize this investment, in the midst of a profound crisis affecting the population's food supply.

Yanisley Rojas said: "Buy food so that the people can eat it, concrete structures do not feed anyone."

"Just that because of food, nothing else," commented Gerardo Gelabert.

Orlando Álvarez questioned the investment: "Fix the roads at a minimum, how much garbage, they report unnecessary expenses, for God's sake, that's why this government is where it is."

In recent days, the official press reported on the hasty repair of the Zaza hotel, which was presented as the largest constructive intervention ever carried out at the facility.

The Cuban regime has been failing to meet the housing construction plan for years, but it has not failed in the construction and repair of hotels, despite their low occupancy, especially on dates considered significant by the government, such as July 26th.

And while the territory accelerates repairs and builds decorations, a resident denounced the poor quality of a yogurt purchased at a fair, which was going to be consumed by a minor, leading the Cuban to criticize the regime, questioning: "Do you think that's suitable for a child?"

Michel Alayon explained on Facebook that, during a fair in Sancti Spiritus, he bought a yogurt which he described as "shit with bread flour."

What do you think?
