Neighbor welcomes Cuban mother and daughter after devastating fire in Miami

A Cuban mother and her daughter find refuge in a neighbor's home after losing everything in a fire. They are asking for help for them from the TikTok community.

The TikToker Dairon Cano provided recent information about the case of the young Cuban mother who lost everything after the kitchen of the house she rented with her young daughter caught on fire.

The young woman and her daughter are temporarily living in the house of a neighbor who welcomed them. "We are all Cubans. We have to help her because the poor thing was left with nothing," said the woman who received her.

The neighbor's house only has one room, so the young woman and her daughter are sleeping on a mattress they set up in the living room of the house.

They have found temporary refuge in their neighbor's house, but this is not a permanent solution. That's why Cano continues to promote a campaign to raise money and all kinds of items that can be useful to the mother and the girl who lost everything in the fire.

"She is here alone with her five-year-old daughter. (...) We need one peso, two, three, four, whatever you can give. She doesn't have an apartment, they don't have clothes, or shoes. Her little girl was left with nothing," said the influencer.

Last week Cano shared this case on his TikTok account. The young woman, identified on the platform as "Suanny Daimy," recounted that she was cooking and by accident caused the fire; when she reacted, the flames had consumed a large part of the kitchen.

"We are physically fine, which is what matters now," said the young woman, thanking for any support she and her daughter could receive.

The community's response was immediate. Dozens of internet users offered help, some with furniture and even appliances, such as Cano and the TikTok user "@EL_PRIMO en la casa NEW", who gifted a television to the young woman.

The TikToker Dairon Cano is known for his charitable efforts, he has also requested help for other Cubans in need, such as a doctor who has been unable to find employment in his field despite his experience and having a license.

The story of Suanny and her daughter highlights the importance of solidarity and help within the Cuban community in exile.
