Donald Trump, presidential candidate of the Republican Party for the 2024 elections, harshly criticized President Joe Biden following the announcement of his official withdrawal from the electoral race.

"The corrupt Joe Biden was not fit to run for president, and he certainly is not fit to serve, and he never was!" expressed Trump on the social network Truth Social, after Biden's resignation for re-election was made public this Sunday.

According to Trump, Biden "only reached the position of President through lies, fake news, and without leaving his basement." He also added that: "Everyone around him, including his doctor and the media, knew he was not capable of being president, and he wasn't."

The former president and Republican candidate, who increased his popularity ahead of the presidential elections after surviving an assassination attempt, stated that the United States will suffer greatly due to Biden's administration. “But we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly,” he noted.

In his statement, he said: "Look at what he has done to our country," harshly criticizing the administration of the current president.

"Millions of people crossing our border, completely uncontrolled and unverified, many of them coming from prisons, mental institutions, and a record number of terrorists," emphasized Trump, who recently stated that he would seal the border from day one if he wins the upcoming presidential elections in November.

Last Thursday, Cuban-American congresswomen María Elvira Salazar and Carlos Giménez considered that the arrival of Trump to the presidency of the United States, in what would be his second term, could put an end to communism in Cuba.

As a precursor to the former president's policy regarding the Cuba agenda, Trump harshly criticized the recent visit of the Russian Navy to the Caribbean nation during his acceptance speech for the candidacy in the last day of the Republican National Convention, which took place in Wisconsin.
