Oscar García López, the Cuban designer of the Trump family, arrived in the United States through the border.

"United States saw it as more open possibilities for what I wanted to achieve," the designer assured in an interview for Telemundo.

Cuban Oscar García López has earned a recognized place in the fashion world, especially after becoming the designer for the Trump family, but before building his career in the United States and becoming famous, he had to cross the border with Mexico like many migrants.

In a special report for Telemundo 51, Oscar recounted how he arrived in American territory after having lived in Mexico for four years.

"The United States seemed to me like a more open possibility for what I wanted to achieve. I crossed the border, kind of like in the Indiana Jones movies. It was an experience that at first gives you a bit of fear, but once you get through it, it's like an adventure," he confessed.

Oscar revealed that the entire Trump family, including the former president, knows his story and that he arrived in the United States illegally.

The Cuban began his work for this family when he became the personal designer of Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of the former president, and also her friend.

"He is one of the most wonderful people I've ever known, I am very fortunate to call him my friend, and I feel that his career has been so incredible, seeing it come to life, and I truly couldn't be prouder," Lara Trump stated in the interview.

On multiple occasions, the journalist and television producer has worn designs by Oscar García López, but no one forgets the spectacular dress of his creation that she wore to the gala dinner after Donald Trump's inauguration in 2017.

Lara added that many times when they both talk about fashion, they end up falling into politics, and in her opinion, the fact that Oscar arrived illegally makes him love the United States so much, but he does not rule out the possibility of visiting Cuba one day with his designer friend.
