Cubans dance distribution at Salsa Congress in Miami: "Joy or vulgarity?"

The event was for Salsa, but when they played the "Cuban lineup," the dance floor filled up immediately.

The Salsa Congress in Miami captured attention on social media this Saturday when dozens of people appeared in a video dancing reparto, instead of a traditional "rueda de casino."

The heated movements of the large crowd of dancers were in time to "Washy pupa" (You have to pay to see her), a song by El Taiger, Dany Ome, Kevincito El 13, and Wampi.

The Instagram profile Only in Dade shared a video from the user @lotusskyefly, showing the good atmosphere at the Pool Party of the event, but it also provides evidence of how the dance floor filled up when the DJ played reggaeton.

The comments on the post sparked an intense debate about urban genre music, which some users consider "vulgar," despite having plenty of defenders and dancers.

There was also some concern in the social media debate about other popular Latin dances in Cuba, besides salsa, that are being overshadowed by the strength of reggaeton and the distribution.

At the Salsa Congress in Miami, all kinds of dancing took place, but without a doubt, the dance floor got really heated when the Cuban group played.

What do you think of this musical phenomenon? Do you believe it is a healthy enjoyment or a clear example of vulgarity that we Cubans need to overcome?

What do you think?
