The outlook is not entirely negative for the largest of the Antilles, as it placed Gabriel Rosillo at the top and Luis Orta in second place in their respective divisions.

The prestigious sports magazine Sports Illustrated published its usual list of predictions for the Olympic Games, and one of the surprises is that it predicts a bronze medal for the star Mijaín López in Greco-Roman wrestling at Paris 2024.

Considered a living legend of the sport, "The Giant of Herradura" will arrive at the event with the goal of obtaining his fifth crown under the five rings, after shining in Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016, and Tokyo 2020.

However, the medium, which enjoys great prestige from every point of view, understands that the strong gladiator will not dominate the 130-kilogram division, as the Iranian Amin Mirzazadeh will dominate, while the silver will go to the Egyptian Abdellatif Mohamed and the other bronze medal will be held by Hamza Bakir.

However, the outlook is not entirely negative for the largest of the Antilles, as it placed Gabriel Rosillo, world champion of Belgrade 2023, at the top of the 97 kilos category, ahead of Artur Aleksanyan (Armenia), Mohammad Saravi (Iran), and Artur Omarov (Czech Republic).

Likewise, he placed Luis Orta, the king in Tokyo in the 60s, in second place in the 67kg category, just behind Hasrat Jafarov (Azerbaijan).

Cuba aims to win five golds and finish among the top 25 nations in the final standings of Paris 2024, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.

Three years ago at the Tokyo 2020 Games, the island finished in fourteenth place, with a record of seven gold medals, three silver medals, and five bronze medals.
