Kamala Harris managed to raise 90 million in the last 24 hours, a record amount that comes largely from small contributions, although the Vice President of the United States also has the support of major businessmen, famous artists, and heavyweights from her party.

Since Joe Biden announced his decision to withdraw from the presidential race and proclaimed his support for Harris as his possible successor in the electoral campaign, her role as the Democratic candidate in November seems increasingly likely.

"The Democrats are on track to reach 100 million raised through ActBlue...", celebrated Kenneth Pennington, strategist for the blues, on Monday.

According to the New York Times, Kamala's campaign reported $81 million on the first day of her candidacy, thanks to donations from 888,000 people, 60 percent of whom were making their first contribution.

But ActBlue, the digital donation portal for the Party, processed over 90 million dollars in the same period, according to an analysis conducted by the newspaper of the contributions from the platform.

Every day, support for Kamala is increasing to the point that many believe no one within the Party has a chance to confront her, and it is even possible that her nomination could be sealed this week.

The 59-year-old lawyer and daughter of immigrants has the support of figures such as the Clintons and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (one of those who advocated for Biden's withdrawal), as well as major senators and donors, and even those who were considered this year as possible replacements for the president.

Others like Barack Obama, who had also urged Biden to reconsider his candidacy, advocate for an open process "from which an outstanding candidate emerges" to face Trump, as stated by the former president in a statement.

Several billionaires and party donors coincide with him, such as Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York and founder of the financial information company Bloomberg; Reed Hastings, one of the founders of Netflix; and venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, co-founder of Sun Microsystems.

In the first seven hours after receiving the support of President Biden, the vice president managed to raise an impressive nearly 47 million dollars.
