The carnivals of Santiago de Cuba, which began this Thursday and will end on Saturday, continue to record scenes of violent confrontations among the attendees.
Journalist Yosmany Mayeta shared a video on Facebook showing a fight in the central Trocha street, one of the main areas of the well-known Rumbón Mayor in Santiago de Cuba.

The video shows the violent incident, while a woman questions the absence of the police, who were apparently present minutes before.
The short clip shows the police apprehending a man in the final seconds.
“Carnivals are heating up,” commented the communicator, referring to another clash that took place during the pre-carnival in the streets of the city.
The largest popular festival in Santiago de Cuba is taking place this year in a complicated scenario, marked by constant blackouts, various diseases circulating among the population, and out-of-control economic inflation.
This Thursday, a resident of Santiago criticized the Carnival of Santiago de Cuba, which officially began this Thursday and will run until Saturday, for the high prices of food and drinks.
The complainant said that with his salary as a professional (around 7,000 pesos), after buying some food for the month, he has approximately 1,500 pesos left, with which he can barely enjoy one day of carnival.
The man reported that the price of beer ranges between 200 and 240 pesos, fried chicken costs 400, malt is 300, and canned juices are around 250. Cheese pizzas are at 120, while the traditional snack with pork (bread with lechón) costs 200, although he noted that the latter is also 250.
