The Cuban reggaeton artist José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar, better known as El Taiger, recently appeared in court after being arrested in Miami, Florida.

During the hearing, the singer could not answer the judge's question about whether he could hire a lawyer, as he did not understand English, the language in which the question was asked.

The interpreter of "Marca Mandarina" was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of armed robbery and assault, according to the police report. The arrest occurred at 5:41 am, and a bail of 1000 dollars was set for these crimes.

Police record

Previously, the singer had been released on a $2,500 bond for a cocaine possession charge. Currently, the reggaeton artist is detained at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGKCC).
