Eduardo Antonio remembers when he dressed as a woman for a music video: "Being gay is not a sin."

"Before criticizing, first think and evaluate how many positive proposals I provide in life," said the singer in response to the questioning he receives.

Eduardo Antonio has always received countless criticisms for his sexual orientation, but throughout his career he has been focused on proving that being gay is not a sin and that all artists deserve the same respect and to be valued for what they can give to their audience.

El Divo de Placetas recalled on his social media a rather controversial music video he released a decade ago, "Dónde está el pecado," in which he dared to dress as a woman.

"Before criticizing, think first and evaluate how many positive proposals I give in life and how much love I have to share. What matters is the courage and the message; don’t get caught up in the cheesy, bordering on mediocrity. My life proposal, which I share with so much love, is one of great heights and happiness," the singer assured while reflecting on his entire career.

The message I conveyed with this song at the time is still relevant: "For everyone who has been concerned, this video is almost 10 years old. Those who know about my career will realize. The message of this song is clear, and being gay is not a sin. Down with homophobia."

El Divo's words found support among many of his followers: "You are a true artist with an incredible voice and a unique style"; "There is no sin, you do what you like, modestly and you look beautiful as always"; "El Divo is El Divo, he is who he is and no one surpasses him, I don’t think we should argue about it, everyone chooses their own happiness"; "Jealousy kills them! But you shine my Divo. To whom God has given… you know the rest"; "You have much to tell and young artists should learn from your experience"; "For me, he is an authentic person and he is happy."

It's always worth remembering, so here we share this video from Eduardo Antonio:
