Eduardo Antonio is a Cuban singer, songwriter, actor, and producer, who became a Mexican national. He was born in Placetas, Villa Clara, Cuba, on December 10, 1967.

He began at a young age, achieving success in his hometown and earning a place in the Cuban pop scene. His first public appearances were as a child, and later, still very young, he performed at the Tropicana cabaret. In 1996, he participated in and won the OTI Song Festival 96. With his original song "Me queda la canción," he represented Cuba at the 25th edition of the festival, held in Quito.

A regular on Mexican television programs, where he showcased his talent, which is the reason for his success and recognition: La Movida, El Ritmo de la Noche, Al Fin De Semana, Otro Rollo, Cristina, Sábado Gigante, and Don Francisco Presenta, of which he was a co-host for three years.

His songs have served as soundtracks, opening themes, and closing themes for telenovelas: Preciosa (Mexico, 1998), Alma Rebelde (Mexico, 1999), Yo Amo a Juan Querendón (Mexico, 2007-2008), Pecadora (United States, 2009-2010), among others. He has also provided music for two Mexican films: La Segunda Noche (1999) and Ya No Los Hacen Como Antes (2003).

He had a standout appearance alongside Celia Cruz in the video "La Negra Tiene Tumbao".

He has participated in numerous international festivals such as: Despierta América, the Acapulco Festivals, La Oreja, La Botana, Vida TV, Sábado Sensacional, Al Derecho y al Derbez, Hoy, Viva la Mañana, Escándalo, among others.

He has performed, in addition to his native country Cuba and his host country Mexico, on stages in Venezuela, the United States, Sweden, Germany, Honduras, Norway, Egypt, Finland, among others. He has shared the stage with: Marco Antonio Muñiz, Olga Guillot, Lucero, Daniela Romo, Yuri, among other internationally renowned singers. He has acknowledged Juan Gabriel as his idol.

A controversial figure, he dominated the cover stories of entertainment programs and magazines due to his romance with Niurka Marcos and some statements he made regarding his sexual orientation.

In June 2020, he resumed the romantic relationship he had with his former girlfriend, the Cuban Arahis Retureta, after they had been together for just over a year. This happened seven months after he proposed to a Colombian woman named Patricia

In December 2019, he was one of the guest artists at the New Year's concert in Bayfront Park, organized by Cuban-American singer Pitbull. That same year, along with Cubans Jeikel Acosta and Abel Bosmenier, one of the vocalists from the former group SBS, he presented the musical piece in collaboration titled "La cuenta no da." The music video features the participation of Cuban backing vocalist Haniset Rodríguez and Cuban comedian Boncó Quiñongo.

In 2019, he released the reggaeton track "Yo quisiera," in collaboration with the guys from the group LKM.
